Full on foto of De Rotterdam taken from the bridge. This multi-use building, designed by Rem Koolhaas, has been open for only two months. It is the largest building in the Netherlands. It is part of the restoration and revitalization of the “old harbor district of Wihelminapier.

Our hotel was overlooking the gate to the city built in the 1400s. This is the southern gate. There is a northern one also. The city was walled-in with these two gates.
